Author Guidelines

Arsya Insight Journal of Teaching and Learning accepts original research articles, review papers, and educational case studies that have not been previously published or are currently under consideration elsewhere. Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts according to the following guidelines.

1. General Formatting Requirements

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise academic English or Indonesian.

  • File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

  • Page Setup: Standard A4 paper size, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.

  • Typography:

    • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt.

    • Spacing: 1.5 line spacing throughout the manuscript.

    • Alignment: Justified.

  • Length: Full-length articles should typically be between 4,000 and 8,000 words (including abstract, tables, figures, and references).

2. Structure of the Manuscript

Submitted manuscripts should generally follow the standard IMRaD structure:

A. Title

  • Concise, informative, and clear (maximum 18 words).

  • Capitalize the first letter of each major word.

B. Author Information (OJS Metadata Only)

  • Note for Anonymous Review: Do not include author names, affiliations, or email addresses in the main manuscript file. Enter all author details into the OJS submission system metadata instead.

C. Abstract & Keywords

  • Abstract: A single paragraph of 150 to 250 words summarizing the research background/objective, methods, main findings, and conclusions/implications.

  • Keywords: 3 to 5 keywords or phrases, separated by semicolons (;).

D. Introduction

  • Clearly state the background, research problem, research gap, relevant literature context, and the explicit objective/novelty of the study.

E. Research Methods

  • Provide sufficient detail for the research to be replicated.

  • Include research design, participants/sample, instruments, data collection procedures, and data analysis methods.

F. Results and Discussion

  • Results: Present research findings clearly using text, tables, and figures. Do not duplicate data between tables and text.

  • Discussion: Interpret findings in light of existing theoretical frameworks and empirical literature. Discuss practical implications for teaching and learning.

G. Conclusion

  • Summarize the core findings and their broader implications.

  • Address research limitations and suggest potential directions for future studies.

H. Acknowledgments (Optional)

  • Acknowledge funding agencies, institutional support, or individuals who assisted with the research.

I. References

  • All cited works in the text must appear in the reference list, and vice versa.

  • References must strictly follow the APA 7th Edition style.

  • Use reference management software (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote).

  • At least 80% of references should be from primary sources (peer-reviewed journal articles) published within the last 5 to 10 years.

  • Include active DOI links ([https://doi.org/](https://doi.org/)...) whenever available.

3. Tables and Figures

  • All tables and figures must be numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1) and referenced in the main text.

  • Tables must be created using the Word table tool (not pasted as images) with clear column headers.

  • Figures/Charts must be high resolution (at least 300 dpi).

4. Submission Process

  1. Register or log in to the journal's OJS portal.

  2. Click [New Submission] and complete the 5-step submission wizard.

  3. Ensure the manuscript is fully anonymized before uploading the main file.

  4. Fill in all required author metadata accurately (names, affiliations, email, ORCID IDs).
